Our Story

How It All Started

Have you ever asked what flower shops do with their old flowers? These flowers do not meet the standards for selling anymore. They will soon hang down and even if someone is willing to buy them at a great discount, the flowers will be thrown away after a few days, end up in the trash.

Do you know most of the roses we enjoy here in Norway are grown in Africa? It’s costly to grow them. It’s costly to transport them here; and then they stay with us only for over a week before being wasted.

Who Are We?

We are running a small flower shop in Oslo. The question of what to do with old flowers has always been at the back of our mind. That is where Lavender comes. The concept of Lavender originates from a well-known fact that lavender is one of the rare flowers that still keeps its wonderful smell even after the flowers died and got dried naturally. What if we can do something similar to other flowers? Maybe not with their scent, but at least their beauty. Keep them staying with us longer, perhaps a few years more.

Our Products

Each flower was selected and cleaned before being hung up to get dried by itself. We avoid dying the color as much as we can, and try to preserve the natural color of the flowers.

In most of our bouquets, around 50% of the flowers are those dried naturally from fresh flowers. Dried lavenders were added to most of the bouquets to provide a sweet, calming scent. The fragrance of dried lavenders is known to have a soothing effect and help to reduce stress. The soft color of dried flowers gives you a feeling of nostalgia and peace. There is nothing like a beautiful dried flower bouquet greeting you every day after work. And they are going to stay with you for long, maybe even a few years.
